Luxor Las Vegas Gallery

The Luxor Hotel is famous for it's Egyptian Theme, but it is slowly changing it's decor. Inside the Egyptian decorations are being downplayed and the unique display of Tutankamun's Tomb has been sold to the Las Vegas Museum and can be seen there.

The Luxor is located at the end of the Strip, near the airport. It is between The Mirage and The Excalibur. You can visit all three hotels easily in an afternoon. They are connected by a tram system, and there are interior walkways between the Mirage and the Luxor.

We always visit the Luxor, just to see the Sphinx that sits on the outside of the hotel. The pyramid shaped hotel has a light beam that pierces the night up into the atmosphere. If you are visiting at night to view the light beam I would recommend some caution if you are standing on the opposite sidewalk (below the Tropicana) which has not been developed, and is a little barren.
